Where is Lady A Studios?

The studios are based in St Albans, Hertfordshire AL1 near the Quadrant Shops. You can park outside the studio. It is 20 minute train ride from St Pancras Station and a 5 minute taxi ride from the station.

Is the studio set up professionally?

The studio is set up within a totally professional large, allocated studio space and all the clients are given 1:1 attention. Professional photography with Bowens Softbox, professional WEX paper backgrounds and Canon camera are used to capture superior photos.

When are the photoshoots?

I prepare the studio during the morning for my afternoon sessions. Bookings are avaliable Monday-Friday afternoons or Saturday Mornings 9-12am, by prior agreement.

When do I see my photos?

At the end of the Photoshoot session you can sit back and view your beautiful photos. You may choose 5 photos to be sent to you. If you would like to buy some of photos, you can choose as many as you like - but you are not obliged to do so.

I am thinking of having my baby/child/children photographed. Can I have joint photos as well as some taken on my own?

Yes, you can have any combination. Each child, the children, you & your child/children, you/your husband and so on.

How much do you charge for the photoshoot?

I charge £249 for your photoshoot and you can choose 5 photos of your choice - this is included in the price. Clients feedback is they love their photos and you will want to choose 5 photos to keep. You may want to buy some additional digital images, but there is no pressure to buy. I hope that you have an amazing experience and recommend us to all of your friends and family. I do ask for a £50 deposit which is refundable on arrival, to secure the studio time.

Why do you take a deposit?

I have to ensure your time slot is free and I'm available to give you my 1:1 attention. I take an upfront £50 deposit when you book your Photoshoot, this confirms your booking slot and is deducted from your Photoshoot session fee.

Why do you charge a no show fee if I don't attend my appointment?

The photoshoots are organised in time slots, so I need to take a no show fee to cover the cost of an empty space in the diaries and the set up of the studio & equipment.

Can I bring an extra family member to the photoshoot?

Yes, you may bring extra family members by prior agreement to the Photoshoot session. Simply let me know beforehand so I can accommodate with extra seating and facilities. There is a maximum of 5 people.

Is there parking, is it free and is it next to your Studios?

Yes there is FREE parking right outside my studio, on my driveway. This makes it easy to bring your outfits into the photoshoot.

If I wanted to have more than 1 photo, how much are they?

You are able to choose 5 photos as part of your £249 package, which are sent to you through email or saved on a memory stick. If you would like to buy more photos they are sold in bundles, which will be shown to you in the studio.

How do I receive my photos?

You can choose between having the photos saved on a memory stick or emailed to you - both of these are done on the same day as the Photoshoot session. The new memory stick is charged at £10 per stick.

Can you print the photos?

Yes, I can arrange for your photos to be printed in a variety of different sizes. There is a very competitive cost for this service and I can send them out to you.

Can you arrange my photos to be printed and framed?

Yes, I can arrange your photos to be printed and framed. I offer a very competitive personal service for you, with a wide range of sizes and framing options available. This takes away all the hassle of you having to sit down and do it yourself during your busy day to day schedule. I have many samples for you to see at the studio.

Can I choose to buy my photo's at a later date?

All photo orders must be placed at your viewing session, on the day of your appointment. I take thousands of photos a month and it wouldn’t be possible to store all the photos.

Can you arrange my photos to be made into a Photobook for myself or as a gift?

Yes, I can arrange your photos to be made into a beautiful Photobook for you or for a gift. You choose which photos you would like in you book and I will show you a typical real-life example.

Why do you need to know my children ages and gender?

This really helps me to prepare properly and professionally, to make sure you get the best photos of you and your family. I am able to plan and fine-tune your photoshoot according to your personal requirements.

Do you sell GIFT vouchers?

Yes I do and you can then give it to a family member or a friend as a present.

Can I arrange with you some personal photos and some for business?

Yes of course. I can take a selection for you to choose from.

What happens with the Digital Files?

The digital files will remain the property of Lady A Studios and will only be retained for 24 hours from the Photoshoot session. Should the digital files be lost, damaged or destroyed for reasons beyond Lady A Studios control, liability shall be limited to a full refund of your fees but shall not include a refund for any goods or services already received.

What if I need to cancel or postpone?

If you do not attend your confirmed Photoshoot session, your £50 deposit will not be refunded. However, if you need to postpone or re-schedule the session, I will do my best to rearrange this with you and your deposit will be fully refunded at the re-scheduled Photoshoot session. The session is confirmed once you have paid the £50 deposit online or through PayPal.

How long is the photoshoot, will we be rushed?

Your photoshoot is 2.5 hours. I allow this large time slot to ensure my clients are never rushed.
